365 Cards Day #31 and Cupcake Challenge Sketch

YAY! I finished the entire month worth of cards! I now want to start thinking of more people to send cards to! LOL
Today's challenge on 365 cards was to use rounded corners, nothing sharp. I decided to combine this with a sketch challenge on the cupcake challenge blog (another one I am starting to fall in love with!) I also decided to break out my sugar coating glitter again! I love this stuff!!

365 Cards Day #30

I am really enjoying 365 cards! I feel like I have made another set of friends! Thanks for all the great comments! Today's challenge was to use a ladybug as inspiration. The first thing I thought of was those orange ladybugs. I couldn't find the right color in my stash but found some "off red" (not pink like it looks in the photo)and ran with it. I wanted to add the sentiment "What's up, ladybug?" but just couldn't figure out where to put it. I had a lot going on tonight (Church Women's group, scrapbook for a friend, etc) so I just settled with no sentiment. I may add it later though.

365 cards Day #29 and #3- Caught up FINALLY!

DAY #29- Funny story here! I decided to create my card for day #29 at 365 cards and to table #3 because of the flowers. I just couldn't think of anything. So, the challenge for today was another Sunday Sketch Challenge. It's a great sketch but I couldn't get my circles right. I was trying to turn them into flowers and everything and just couldn't get it right. SO, it got me thinking about the Simply Scrappin (SU!) kit in my craft closet and I decided to see if there were 3 flowers in the correct sizes to use. There were!! I felt like I was cheating! It was SO easy. So I went to stick some buttons on and decided that I better jazz them up some. So I added some tied ribbon to each one and attached them. Added the sentiment and created a gorgeous card for a special graduate I know. I stood back and admired it. Then I realized that it was a perfect card for challenge #3! (Buttons, Ribbon, and Flowers) LOL! So, here is my #29 card:

DAY #3- So, I get to my card for day #3. I found this beautiful scrap of patterned paper that Sara (Finkerdoodles) gave me. Then, I added an image from a swap on Mommysavers. Then, I added one of my button/ribbon embellishments. (I got the idea from Mish's blog ) Another simple card but I really like it. I think this is a good "I'm praying for you" card.

365 Cards Day #28 and #4

Today's challenge on 365 cards was to "scraplift" a scrapbooking layout and turn it into a card. I chose to "lift" my favorite scrap layout that I made. The card is for my boys' godmother for "Godparents Day" (first Sun in June)

Day #4- Ad Inspired Challenge: This one was to base a card on an ad. I love this card although it is very simple. I don't think that I could add anything without taking away from it. I am contemplating a simple "Happy Birthday" stamped directly on the card but I don't have a stamp that fits the bill :)

365 cards Day #27, 5, and 6

I didn't realize that I skipped challenges 3 and 4. I will get them tomorrow. I am BEAT. I took a half day off to use the rest of my personal time before summer break(April 17th) and I had a migraine ALL day! I am feeling better now but I am ready to rest! Anyway, I finished 3 cards today! I am starting to really love my cards! These challenges have really helped me!

DAY #27- Today's challenge was to create a card using three different texture techniques. I used a piece of Cuttlebugged paper (dont know what folder- I call it "dinosaur skin" lol), ripped paper, and heat embossing. I also combined this with Cupcake Challenge #32- create a card with a monster on it. I really like how this one came out. I am thinking that I need a Cuttlebug. The texture really adds something to cards!

DAY #5- this challenge was to create a simple and easy to duplicate "thank you" card. I used the same paper that I am using on Shawn's First Communion invites so that I can use these to thank people for gifts and prayers. The photo is AWEFUL. I will try to get a better one tomorrow:

DAY #6: Last but not least, I did challenge #6. On this one, I was supposed to use bling. I added glitter to the patterned paper and was going to add some diamonds but cannot find them. I will add some and re-post the photo. Until then, here is my bling card with glitter:

365 Cards Days #1, 2, and 26

My friend Sara just started doing the 365 challenges and she has already passed me on the number of challenges completed! I decided that I better get to work playing "catch up". lol. So, tonight I made 3 cards to add to my collection.

Challenge #25 is the most recent. In this challenge, we were required to use our least favorite color. Mine is DEFINITELY pink! It's just so "girly" and I rarely have girls to give my cards to! I also DESPISE flowers so I thought I'd throw them in too. I like how the card turned out though.

Challenge #1 was a sketch challenge. I made this a 3x3 card. I used some stamps that I never used and all scrap papers

Challenge #2 was to use ONLY 2 embellishments. First I had to see what was considered an "embellishment". I thought that the edging (my brand new Martha Stewart punch that I think will get lots of use) and the stamped image were embellishments but after looking at the other entries, ribbon and flowers were embellishments so I added them and love the results!!

365 Cards Day #25- Birthday Wish

Today's challenge on 365 was an ad inspired challenge. She gives us the ad and we create a card. I really liked the ad. The colors and patterns were gorgeous. It was hard for me to get what I wanted onto my card because the ad screamed "classy and sophisticated" and that's not me. LOL. I remembered having this image in my stash and decided to use it with this paper that I got in a kit from Wal-Mart for next to nothing. I still hate the scalloped circle with the sentiment.. I thought it would look good when it came together but I think I will change it. I am going to give this to my sister for her b-day April 11:

365 Cards Day #24

The challenge on 365 cards today was a challenging one (lol). We were to create a nature scene within our card. I knew immediately that I wanted to use my $ Michael's stamps. I love the little tree and the sayings are really cute. I'm a wannabe "green" person so this appealed to me. I decided to use blues as my base color (like the sky) and I knew I would use green ribbon (my grass) at the bottom. I tried to add dimension to my trees by stamping them in a lighter green first and then going back over with a darker but it kinda just looks blurry. Overall, I think it's kind of neat. Then I added my sentiment in a scalloped yellow circle (my sun). BTW, my eyelets are way croked (crop a dile holes are too big!)but I will fix it tomorrow. I am sleepy... Hope you like it:

Triple Challenge Monkey Card

I decided to try combining this weeks card challenges from three different places. First, on Mommysavers, we had to create a birthday card. Then, on the Use It! blog, we were supposed to useeyelets, something I've had longer than a year, and polka dots. Lastly, I used the cool sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. Here it is:

365 cards Day #23

Today at 365 cards, we had an image that we had to incorporate into our card design. It was a crossword puzzle that spelled "I Love You". I decided that I wanted a monochromatic color scheme for this one. I really wanted to add a pencil or something to signify that it was for a crossword puzzle fan but couldn't find what I wanted. So, here it is:

365 cards day #22 (my itty bitty)

I am having so much fun participating with 365 cards!! I realized that I have been starting to stretch myself more since I have been seeing everyone else's work. You are all VERY inspiring!!

Today is the beginning of a new week with them and it is "Super Sketchy Sunday"! I have started liking this one the best. The sketch today is a long skinny card. At first, I was going to make it larger than the average 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I saw a card on another blog that was almost exactly this sketch and it inspired me to FINALLY use my Stampin' Around Wheel. Well, since it is only 1 inch wide, I decided to make this card 4 1/2 x 3. It's way cuter than a 3x3! My ribbon looked too wide when I started but I think it really set it off. I kinda switched the embellies on the sketch and put them on opposite corners.

365 Cards Day #21

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

Today's challenge on 365 cards was to use the song, "Lean On Me" as inspiration. I leafed through my images and found this Cherished Teddies one already colored and waiting for me. I used some paper I got in a little scrap kit (dont remember where I bought it but I know it was $1). I got the little flowers from the $1 spot at Target and the coupon stamp was from Michael's $1 bin. I stamped the image with Navy Blue Stazon and clear embossed it. I clipped it together with a little clip I got from an online friend. Hope you like it. It is one of my best cards ever...

365 Cards Day #20

Today's challenge on 365 cards was to embellish the INSIDE of the card rather than the outside. I went with the recurring idea of making a "peek a boo" window and then embellished the inside. The photos don't do this card any justice. It is a "get well" card for a lady at church who is battling pneumonia after losing her husband only a week or two ago.

365 Cards Day 19

This card was not what I planned when I started but it turned out cute. I knew exactly what image I wanted to use. I got it in a swap last summer and have been hoarding it. I used some patterned paper by Mrs.Elizabeth (dollar tree) and I don't know who the image is by...
